Patrick BOYANCE (Eng)
Simulation Expert
With over 25 years of experience in structural, thermal, vibration, and high-speed dynamic analysis, Patrick Boyancé supports industrial clients in the design, validation, and optimization of complex mechanical systems.
Holding a PhD in Mechanics from the University of Bordeaux I, he works on highly demanding technical projects in the automotive, rail, and aerospace sectors. With advanced expertise in simulation software such as RADIOSS, ABAQUS, PAMCRASH, and LSDYNA, he models critical scenarios, anticipates failure modes, and optimizes structures from the earliest design stages.
At DFM-Europe, Patrick applies his expertise to mechanical performance, product safety, and regulatory compliance. He works on major vehicle functions such as bumpers, tailgates, dashboards, pedestrian impact simulations, and ECER42 requirements, as well as on strategic aerospace components including thrust reversers, nacelles, and landing gear systems.
What sets him apart is his ability to translate complex industrial challenges into reliable numerical models while working closely with design teams, engineering offices, and testing departments. He is recognized for his rigorous approach, practical mindset, and performance- and reliability-driven vision of product development.
"Numerical simulation is a powerful lever for innovating faster and managing risks more effectively. My role is to make it accessible, relevant, and operational."
