OUR STORIES
2009–2015
Birth of an engineering spirit
The DFM-Europe adventure began in 2009 under the leadership of Frédéric Plourde, an engineer and research director at CNRS. Initially specialized in physical modeling and scientific computing, the company supported industrial players in complex projects involving fluid mechanics, thermal systems, materials, and structures.
First success: A collaboration with Safran on high-performance thermal transfer challenges in the aerospace sector.
2016–2021
Growth & Diversification
Faced with increasing demand for automation and process reliability, DFM-Europe expanded into industrial IT and began developing custom software solutions.
In 2018, the company launched its first proprietary IoT systems, particularly for waste bin fill-level monitoring and smart energy management. It positioned itself as a player capable of combining physics, sensors, and code.
2022–Today
Toward Artificial Intelligence
In 2022, DFM-Europe began a strategic shift toward industrial artificial intelligence. It developed the ATN concept – a modular AI engine capable of automating drawing interpretation, generating technical documents, and intelligently extracting administrative data.
In 2024, the launch of the myATN.com platform marked a new milestone: offering a suite of sovereign, interconnected assistants ready for deployment across all industrial sectors.
At the same time, DFM-Europe opened a subsidiary in Germany (Berlin) to lead its European development.
